Here it is!! Our final selected size, colour, form of Memento Mori (after Dr Edward Wilson).

Futures shift. Through extensive research and development, Max came across this image and the story that goes along with it and decided he had to take his project in a different direction. Same artistic concerns and concept, different result! Check out the story behind this image here. 

 

After many samples we have settled on our stitch! The image below is a scan of our chosen stitch density on Tyvek. This is the top left image of the four shown in the digital mock-up. Image copyright of the artist.

So many stitches, so many versions. Here choosing just the right threads for our poor little bird.
